About Persib Bandung

Persib Bandung is the professional football club of Bandung, the capital of West Java, and one of the best-supported clubs in Indonesia. It is nicknamed "Maung Bandung" (the Bandung tigers) and "Pangeran Biru" (the blue prince), plays at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api stadium, and has been run since 2009 by PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat.

Its fans are known as Bobotoh, a Sundanese word for supporters; the Viking Persib Club, founded in 1993, is regarded as the first organised supporters' group in Indonesian football. Persib won the amateur Perserikatan competition several times and, in the professional era, the 1994–95 Liga Indonesia, the 2014 Indonesia Super League and back-to-back Liga 1 titles in 2023–24 and 2024–25.

The Persib Bandung Logo: Design and Meaning

The Persib crest is a shield built on the pattern of the city of Bandung's coat of arms, which ties the club closely to its home city. The upper half shows a green mountain on golden yellow under the name PERSIB; below a black band shaped like the battlements of a fortress, four blue wavy lines on white stand for the waters of Bandung.
